Hi — I’m Aki, based in Japan.
I’m not a camera collector or a professional photographer. I’m something a little different: I run a small business exporting Japanese film cameras and lenses to buyers overseas.
Through this work, I’ve learned which Japanese cameras people around the world actually love, what they cost here in Japan, which shops are worth visiting, and how to avoid the common mistakes when buying.
One honest note: my English isn’t great. I write in Japanese and use AI to translate, so the wording may sound a little unusual sometimes. But everything I share — the shops, the prices, the tips — comes from my real experience in the Japanese camera trade. That part is 100% real.
If you love Japanese cameras, or you’re planning a camera-hunting trip to Japan, I hope this blog saves you time and money.
Welcome to Japan Camera Note!
